Transfer

I got transferred to a place called Oak ridge.  It's about an hour from my last area. Since a sister in the mission had to leave, it was an emergency transfer so I only had a days notice.  It's been really hard.  It has definitely brought me to my knees more than ever before.  My companion Sister Hollon is the complete opposite from Sister Preston which is probably the hardest part.  The first few days were extremely difficult but I've seen the Lords hand in everything I do .  The more I really serve selflessly and loose myself in the work, the easier it gets.
The cool thing is that we have two  baptisms this weekend!  I'm so excited!!  First, Travis (in his 20's) and has one little boy.  He has been being taught for about two months now and has such an awesome story.  He is literally giving up EVERYTHING to get baptized. He gave up smoking, drinking, broke up with his girlfriend who he had been dating for years, and overcame some other serious addictions.  He has such a solid testimony!  We were teaching him the other day and we asked him what he was most excited for in being baptized and he replied, "To continue strengthening this testimony that I have grown and more than that, to be able have a purpose to be someone elses missionary and to be able to return the favor by serving others and just sharing my knowledge with them. !"  He can't wait to get baptized and hold a calling in the church so he can serve his brothers and sisters.
Darlene, a single lady in her 60's is also getting baptized this week.  She is so loving! I have already taught her 4 times since I have been here and I've grown such a great love for her! I've been sick this week and she has been so caring in making sure I am well taken care of.  She has been struggling a bit with just not feeling worthy but she mentioned that she has great faith and this is her taking one step closer to the Lord and showing him that she is ready to turn her life over to him.

It's been so amazing just to see the change in people as they decide to allow the light of Christ into their lives!  This is what makes being a missionary so awesome!  You get take part in such a great work in witnessing the power of Holy Ghost literally change people.
It's the best calling in the entire world.
